    Prima della collaborazione con il Terra Institute, LCS ha lavorato con un fornitore di servizi che ha fornito uno strumento digitale per la creazione di impronte aziendali. Con il suo aiuto, LCS \u00e8 riuscita a creare un primo bilancio dei gas serra per l’azienda in Austria. Il team di sostenibilit\u00e0 di LCS ha successivamente necessitato di supporto per la validazione e la correzione dei risultati<\/strong>. Inoltre, erano richiesti input riguardo all’interpretazione dei risultati del bilancio, lo sviluppo delle prime misure di riduzione e i prossimi passi verso la strategia climatica aziendale<\/a><\/strong>. Inoltre, il team di sostenibilit\u00e0 aveva bisogno di supporto per coinvolgere altri dipendenti di LCS nel processo di sostenibilit\u00e0<\/strong>, il che, come in molte altre aziende, rappresentava una sfida.     La maggior parte delle emissioni di LCS si trova nello Scope 3, cio\u00e8 al di fuori dei confini aziendali, nella catena del valore a monte e a valle. Queste emissioni sono regolarmente molto difficili da rilevare e calcolare per le aziende. In primo luogo, perch\u00e9 sono al di fuori delle loro attivit\u00e0 operative e quindi spesso mancano semplicemente i dati o \u00e8 difficile reperirli. In secondo luogo, perch\u00e9 le emissioni si estendono lungo l’intera catena del valore, dalla estrazione delle materie prime, all’uso dei prodotti fino alla fine del ciclo di vita, cio\u00e8 di solito fino allo smaltimento. Le categorie dello Scope 3 sono suddivise in 15 sottocategorie, ognuna delle quali ha approcci di calcolo propri. Identificare i punti critici e ottenere risultati affidabili di un bilancio \u00e8 spesso una grande sfida per le aziende.<\/p>\n

    DAL BILANCIO DEI GAS SERRA ALLA STRATEGIA CLIMATICA<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

    Dall’inizio della collaborazione, Terra \u00e8 riuscita a supportare il team di LCS nell’interpretazione e nel completamento del bilancio dei gas serra precedentemente effettuato. Inoltre, sono state derivate le prime misure climatiche per il primo rapporto di sostenibilit\u00e0 in fase di elaborazione. Terra Institute ha anche potuto assistere LCS in un primo screening delle emissioni dello Scope 3 e nella determinazione delle categorie principali dello Scope 3. Grazie a ci\u00f2, l’azienda ha potuto ottenere chiarezza sui punti critici delle emissioni dello Scope 3 con l’aiuto di Terra. Riguardo a queste categorie essenziali per LCS, l’azienda pu\u00f2 ora iniziare a perfezionare il bilancio di queste categorie, al fine di sviluppare anche misure in questo settore. Di conseguenza, la protezione del clima in LCS sar\u00e0 pi\u00f9 forte in futuro.<\/p>\n

    Inoltre, \u00e8 stato possibile aumentare la visibilit\u00e0 e l’urgenza del tema della protezione del clima in altre parti dell’azienda. Attraverso il coinvolgimento attivo di altri attori, che non sono primariamente parte del team di sostenibilit\u00e0 di LCS, \u00e8 stata comunicata in modo ampio la necessit\u00e0 di una strategia climatica per LCS. In questo modo, il processo di sostenibilit\u00e0 pu\u00f2 essere distribuito precocemente su quante pi\u00f9 spalle possibili e integrato nei vari reparti.<\/p>\n

    Paul Lardon, ingegnere laureato in protezione tecnica dell’ambiente, prima di entrare al Terra Institute ha lavorato in diverse aree di un’azienda globale nel settore dei servizi ambientali. Durante il Master part-time in Gestione strategica della sostenibilit\u00e0, ha sviluppato ulteriormente la sua esperienza nel supportare le aziende in trasformazione. In Terra si occupa di consulenza climatica e di economia circolare.<\/p>\n
